Specialists in Early American Vintage Automobiles
Sourcing, restoring and engineering historic vehicles including Model A Fords, Edwardian automobiles and bespoke vintage speedsters.

Locating rare vehicles across the United States and Europe and restoring them using traditional engineering methods and period-correct craftsmanship.

Specialists in Model A Ford racing and the restoration of vintage and Edwardian automobiles.

For more than two decades we have travelled across the United States and Europe searching for rare historic vehicles — hidden collections, forgotten garages and long-abandoned projects — bringing them back to life through careful restoration and engineering.

Each car is rebuilt with respect for its history, using original components and traditional engineering techniques wherever possible.

Tobias Ballard – Founder

With more than 25 years of experience in the classic automobile industry, Toby specialises in the sourcing, restoration and engineering of early American vintage vehicles.

Over the course of his career he has developed an extensive network of collectors, suppliers and specialists across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. His knowledge of historic American vehicles allows him to locate rare chassis, engines and complete automobiles in places often overlooked by others.

Working with a trusted team of specialists, Toby oversees the restoration and engineering of historic vehicles using traditional techniques and period-correct components wherever possible.

Today the business operates internationally, sourcing early American vehicles and restoring them for collectors and historic motoring enthusiasts across Europe and beyond.

Our Story

Back in 1981, a 1958 Morris Minor benefited from an engine rebuild completed by a keen and enthusiastic 10-year-old boy, far more interested in engines and automobiles than his lessons at school.

Eleven years later that same boy, Toby, rescued and restored a 1939 Morris 10M, a car that remains part of his collection today.

Following a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and developing a particular interest in early Ford automobiles, Toby began importing Model A Fords from the United States to restore and enjoy. Over time this grew into a specialist business focused on the sourcing and restoration of early American vehicles.

More recently Toby has also restored American La France speedsters and other historic racing machines, travelling throughout Europe to participate in rallies and historic motoring events.

Today the focus of the business is the sourcing of neglected Edwardian, vintage and classic vehicles, particularly early American automobiles, and through careful engineering and craftsmanship restoring them to return to the racing circuit or the open road.
