Bare Chassis Beach Racer
Lightweight Performance, Stripped Back to Its Core
A fully restored bare rolling chassis designed for beach racing, sprint events, and high-performance historic driving — where simplicity, weight, and mechanical efficiency define the experience.
The Concept
These builds strip the vehicle back to its absolute essentials — removing the body entirely to create a lightweight, responsive machine focused purely on performance.
While minimal in form, these cars require careful engineering and design to ensure structural integrity, balance, and usability. The absence of bodywork places greater emphasis on both mechanical layout and visual proportion.
The Build
Each project begins with the complete restoration of a vintage rolling chassis and running gear. A lack of body does not mean a lack of character.
With no body to conceal or support the structure, additional attention is given to strength, rigidity, and component placement. Every element, from seating position to fuel tank layout, is carefully considered to achieve both performance and driver engagement.
These cars can be built with either 4-cylinder or V8 power units, depending on the intended use and specification.
